The experience of attending boarding school is like no other, providing a strong sense of community filled with co-curricular programs and international exposure. In residence, students create powerful friendships with peers and enjoy learning experiences that last a lifetime. They learn to live with others, manage their time, take on various responsibilities, and lead a balanced life.

Boarding schools are communities, intentionally created to provide twenty-four-hours of opportunity each day for the student's growth and development. Similar to a college campus, learning takes centre stage at boarding schools, with challenging academics, abundant arts and athletics programs, all offered within a supervised, structured student-focused environment.

Today's boarding school students often succeed at higher rates than private day and public-school students, especially in college and adult life, according to a recent study conducted by the Arts & Science Group of Baltimore for The Association of Boarding Schools, (TABS). The study also found that students are more likely to earn an advanced degree and achieve faster career advancement.

The TABS study also found that 78% of boarders reported they are motivated to learn by peers, compared to 49% of public-school students. Living with students from diverse backgrounds informs the dialogue within residence, at meal times and in the dining hall. Not only that, but boarding students are often ahead of the curve when it comes to working efficiently, both in teams and independently.

Living in a diverse and close-knit community that fosters a commitment to both academic and extra-curricular involvement are but a few of the many reasons boarding is a life-enhancing option for domestic and international students alike.
